✅ PART 1: IMMEDIATE ACTIONS AFTER THEFT (First 1–2 Hours Are Crucial)

🔴 Step 1: Block Your SIM Immediately

Why? Prevent misuse of:

  • Bank OTPs
  • WhatsApp
  • Call Forwarding or SIM cloning

👉 Tell them to block SIM & mark it as stolen.
👉 Ask for SIM reissue after FIR.

📍 Step 2: Use Device Tracking / Remote Lock

🔹 For Android:

  • Visit: https://www.google.com/android/find
  • Login with Gmail ID used on phone
  • You can:
    • 📍 Track location
    • 🔐 Lock phone
    • 💣 Erase all data remotely

🔹 For iPhone:

  • Visit: https://www.icloud.com/find
  • Login with your Apple ID
  • You can:
    • 📍 Track location
    • 🛑 Enable Lost Mode
    • 💣 Erase phone data

⚠️ Prerequisite: Find My Device/iCloud should be enabled beforehand

📝 Step 3: File an FIR at the Police Station

Where: Nearest Police Station (or Cyber Police Station)

📃 Include:

  • Phone model & color
  • IMEI number (from box or *#06# if noted)
  • Date, time, location of theft
  • Mobile number used in the phone

🖨️ Take a copy of FIR for future use.

🚨 In major cities, Mobile Theft FIR is a standard process. Demand it.

🔐 Step 4: Block IMEI on CEIR Portal (Govt. of India)

Visit: https://www.ceir.gov.in

Fill the form to:
✅ Block phone’s IMEI
✅ Prevent thief from using phone with another SIM
✅ Stop access across all Indian networks

📎 Upload:

  • Mobile invoice or box
  • FIR copy
  • ID proof

🆔 You’ll get a Request ID to track or unblock if recovered.

🌐 Step 5: Report on Cyber Crime Portal (If Any Online Risk)

Website: https://www.cybercrime.gov.in

☑️ Select “Other Cyber Crime”
☑️ Report if:

  • Private photos are at risk
  • Identity is being misused
  • Someone is asking money or OTPs via stolen phone

🏦 Step 6: Secure Your Digital Finance

Your mobile may have access to:

  • UPI (PhonePe, GPay, Paytm)
  • Net banking
  • Credit card apps
  • Wallets

✅ Steps:

  • Call banks to disable UPI temporarily
  • Change login passwords (NetBanking, Amazon, Flipkart, IRCTC, etc.)
  • Reset UPI PINs from new devices
  • Block cards if apps are open

🔒 Pro Tip:
Most wallets and UPI apps allow remote logout and device deactivation—use it!

The session was held in the esteemed presence of Senior Police Inspector Shri. Pawar from Vishnu Nagar Police Station. 

The training was conducted by renowned Cyber Security Consultant Shri. Dharmendra Nalawade

As per the guidance of Hon. Commissioner of Police, Thane City, and under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone1, a Cyber Security Training session was organised today at the Office of the Commissioner of Police, Hall Thane City, specifically for Zone 1.

👮‍♂️ Police Stations involved:

* Naupada Police Station
* Rabodi Police Station
* Shil Daighar Police Station
* Kalwa Police Station
* Mumbra Police Station

🔍 The training was primarily focused on Police Officers and Staff working in Cyber Investigation at these police stations.

🎯 Objective of Training:
To enhance investigation capabilities in cyber crime cases and enable officers to handle increasingly complex cyber crime incidents effectively.
